Zatua ‎– Sin Existencia

Zatua ‎– Sin Existencia

MFM’s mutant dance branch, Second Circle, delivers one for the most psychedelic of nights (which for some is a regular occurrence!). Zatua was founded by Dea Barandana in Indonesia and later joined by Harsya Wahono, Adra Karim and Rafi Muhammad, with cameos from international guests for live and studio explorations.

Sin Existencia was recorded over two years in Jakarta and Bali, growing out of several semi-improvised live shows jammed from Barandana's blueprints. Across seven delirious entries, chugging rhythms and their snaking, syncopated percussion counterparts join tenderly wailing synth melodies, deeply movable bass currents and ecstatic vocals expressed in French, Spanish and Asturian. Mostly sticking sludgily in the low BPM range, Sin Existencia invokes electro, kosmische, jazz-funk and cosmic disco spirits with a polyphonic, metallic flair; an undeniable floor raiser flourishing with heady analogue detail.
