Simon Van Honacker records organic scenes of Italian village festivities, from a game of Fiolet (think rock throwing, tennis and golf combined) to a performance of the Battitori di Grano (wheat beaters) in the Valle d’Aosta region of Italy.

A buzz of drunken merriment expands out from the micro-universe. Clacking bottles and minimalist game sounds are the percussive instruments to a blur of reveling voices and mumbled jokes.
