Omma – 1905
Antinote present a collection of cloud-headed synthpop from OMMA, aka Moscow’s Olga. Though likely little known beyond Russia, Olga has been on the scene for a decade - performing, releasing music, deejaying and building controllers for her company Playtronica. 1905 is a delightful jaunt through Olga’s daily routines, which she sings about in Russian, “in a positive way,” over lovingly designed dance beats and benevolent pads. Favorite jams are “1905,” a memorable, breaky skip with playground vocals amid palatable chords; and “Mojno,” a more pop style tune of candied vocal and keyboard interplay. This is just the kind of itch we look to Antinote to scratch.
