Nathan Micay – Blue Spring
Blue Spring is Nathan Micay’s debut album, following singles for Whities and ESP Institute and a slab of releases under the Bwana moniker. A utopic rave narrative based on the 1992 woodland party in Castlemorton Common, Worcestershire; it tells the story of a young data miner rebel who clashes with the ranks of a futuristic police state. This anticipated release comes off the heels of Micay’s 2016’s Capsule’s Pride mixtape, in homage to Katsuhiro Otomo’s Akira comic. This first press comes with a copy of the comic, written by Peter Marsden and illustrated by the label LuckyMe’s Dominic Flannigan from Micay’s outline.
