Jesse Sharps Quintet, P.A.P.A – Sharps and Flats
Outernational Sounds presents this exceptional Los Angeles spiritual jazz album on vinyl for the first time.
Saxophonist Jesse Sharps took over from Arthur Blythe as leader of Horace Tapscott’s Pan-Afrikan People’s Arkestra. Sharps And Flats was originally created for Tom Albach’s Nimbus West imprint. Largely recorded in 1985, the album also contains a sixteen-minute cut by the Pan-Afrikan Peoples Arkestra, featuring Horace Tapscott, recorded in 1979.
