Digital Caresse - Demain
In a wild cross-section of quality, children program, play and sing Zouk and Gwo-Ka inspired electronic music, under the luminary guidance of Guadeloupean teacher / experimental musician partnership Serge Fabriano and Marie-Reine Lamoureux (of the Fabriano Fuzion project), during the late 1980s.
The album takes its name from the intention imparted to players to "stroke" the computer keyboard to coax a sound, rather than the impulse to hit percussion to create noise. Thus a choir of wholesome voices, startlingly tranquil recorder ensemble playing, and playful electronic beats with dreamy atmospheres, is the result. Uncovered by supreme head Ruf Dug more recently, Digital Caresse has been thankfully reissued by BeauMonde Records, contained within its original Keith Haring adorned cover.
