Wolf Muller Meets The Nile Project - S/T

$14.00

In 2016 arts and music organization, Santuri East Africa, invited guest producer Jan Schulte (aka Wolf Muller & Bufiman) to join the Nile Project gathering in Aswan, Egypt. The Nile Project is an intensive two-week musical experiment featuring musicians and cultural activist from all over the world coming together to discuss the issues affecting the Nile river.

Releasing music under various aliases, Wolf Muller has a playful approach to the Nile Project with Nubian vocal traditions, entrancing percussions, and warm analogue synth textures. The A-side, "Mabomba Dance" gradually layers Kasiva Mutua's fine point percussion over a deep earthy bass pulse, building into a hypnotic dance floor groove. The B-side features afro-esque minimalism rhythms with Owiny Sigoma Band collaborator Rapasa Nyatrapasa and Adel Mekha on vocals, and on the Nyatiti harp.
