EYE – Metamujer
EYE (Laurène Exposito) returns to Knekelhuis with a third episode in her Swiss minimal wave / industrial pop story. Metamujer begins roughly where she left off with 2017’s Cocktail Mexico - romantically expressive and coarsely movable, but an ode to love of nature as much as people. Synthesised waves and bird song join in with her warbly, multi-lingual singing and forlorn keyboard melodics. For us it revolves around the slowly captivating “Sanatorium” at the centre of the album - a balletic ballad to nod thoughtfully along to.
