Patricia Escudero ‎– Satie Sonneries

Patricia Escudero ‎– Satie Sonneries

$25.00

Delicate, eerily synthesized Eric Satie covers from Patricia Escudero. Each song is an uncanny reverie that transports you to a bygone era that exists only in memory (fittingly, little is known about the Spanish pianist behind these mysterious tracks, other than that this is her sole musical output). Her Sonneries offer a hypnotic bliss in their transformation of familiar refrains, deceptively gentle, like lapping waves on a black lakeshore, or echoing sound coming from far away, through a darkened tunnel. Originally released on the small cult label Grabaciones Accidentales in 1987, Satie Sonneries found its home on Equilibro this December. Escudero's Sonneries would be the perfect accompaniment to an experimental supernatural short film. For fans of the soothing wanderings of Mort Garson, melancholic beauty of pianist Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou, and the equally obscure, internal dwelling synth work of Enno Velthuys.
