GMT24 Innsyter - Magnolia Shade
The latest adventure from Innsyter, aka Sao Paolo’s Fernando Seixlack, ebbs gently off the back of his album Fernando for L.I.E.S. last year. A dip in the warm waters of melted new wave and dilapidated funk, vhs dub and sunset hardware experiment, Fernando sounded a subtle transfiguration from previous, more minimal and steely releases for L.A. Club Resource (but just as dirty). In Magnolia Shade, for mystic elevators Good Morning Tapes, Seixlack reflects on a recent relocation to Berlin, and during a year of relative change and isolation, brings a reflective mood to his signature production style. Things slow to the gentle, rusty pace of the new resident; folding natural peace into urban grit to create a bittersweet blend of ambient island dub with the one-man-band set up of his loyal 8 track Yamaha MT8X and machines.
